BABY!!!!!!!!!

Hey look it's really a baby, with long legs. ENJOY! By the way this isn't an announcement on my part its Rachels baby I am just sharing, to clarify...

Ok again with the Updates....

Lets see what is new and exciting in the world of Monica. I have a few big events for Blue Room coming up so I am way excited, the first is pictures for the Top City Roller Girls (most people who live in Topeka refer to it as Top City or T-town, Lawrence L-town and so on) anyway...I will be doing both their promo pack/press kit pictures as well as photographing their first bout, and let me tell you they mean it last week at practice a girl broke her leg! Then following soon after that my friend Kak (my friend Pauls wife momma and sissys who have met him) got me a great gig being the photographer for a prom for kids from all over the area with special needs. They are going to have all the backdrops and whatnot there already and I just show up with my band of merry men, or in my case my partner in crime Shawna and shoot the poses pics a few of the party and get out of there. The only bad news is I have to find some sort of outfit to wear that will be appropriate.

Since I am the only one close to Rachey I will let you all know that she has a very cute little baby belly and we have been enjoying some interesting shopping trips together for maternity clothes and baby accessories of all kinds, it has been very very fun and at some points down right amusing it is like the Stooges have a baby at points.

I am hopping to get a big push out there for Blue Room through the spring and summer and maybe even work so much I can leave my other job...ok so that might be a little much to hope for but a girl can dream can't she? I am really super excited to go see Aimee graduate in May and bebop around DC again, I have needed a vacation!

I hope everyone is doing well...look at us, graduating, getting married, having babies, starting businesses...who would have thought those crazy kids all over the back yard at grandmas in trees, on trampolines, throwing water balloons and what not, that we'd get to where we are!

And just a fun little show of what I have been up to just to show off a bit.

That I forgot how to post on this? *sheepish face* Ooops. Here I am on my Spring Break, cursing my professors who decided that Spring Break would be a great time to write 2 papers and a 180-question midterm.

Why do I want to go to grad school again??

I am seriously excited about both my impending graduation and my impending (two weeks and a day away) 30th birthday. I'll be going here http://www.wvcabinretreat.com/ for a nice weekend away with friends and Charlie-dog. I will get to participate in my favorite activity- building campfires and then poking at them with sticks. I also hope to be watching my beloved Jayhawks win a few NCAA tournament games on their 32-inch flatscreen television.

Am furiously searching for jobs/paid internships in my field. So far I have some very good leads and some people interested in my work, so.... fingers crossed. It would be especially wonderful if I could get in with an organization that would pay for my graduate school courses. I will keep on dreaming.

At least in May you can tell all of your friends "oh, yes, my niece/cousin/daughter, she's an archaeologist." Next you must remind them that archaeologists do not dig up dinosaurs. We tend to dig up a whole lot of garbage. Think about that next time you take your trash out-- 100 years from now someone might stumble onto your Oil of Olay bottle and write a paper about the self-care habits of 21st Century American Women.

I hope Spring is springing wherever all of you are. Love you all so very much. Maybe we can get together this Summer instead of me waiting until Christmas again, hmm? I hear someone's gonna have a baby in July/August.... I imagine I'll be in Kansas for the meeting of the niece/nephew, but I wouldn't mind seeing some of you either ;).
