Hawaii

I am back. Back to reality. Augh, Reality! Mike and I spent about 7 days on Kauai "the Garden Island", HI. It was beautiful!!! It is a very interesting island: it is the oldest island in Hawaii; it has the wettest area in the world (460 inches of rain/year) ; it has "wild" roosters, pigs, and goats secondary to a hurricane several decades ago; and some parts of it look like Arizona. We went hiking, scuba diving (yes I went diving), snorkeling, boating, and saw Mike's best friend get married on the beach! It was a beautiful ceremony on the beach at sunset! We never drove over 50 miles an hour and on average the speed was 30 miles an hour. Everything happened slowly! It was awesome! I could have gotten used to island life; flip flops and sun-dresses, naps in the afternoon or beach time (all local places close at about 1:30 for an hour or so), and everything closes before 6:00. The pace was great! Some time soon I hope to get some photos up. I hope all is well with the family. I love you guys!!! Truly I do!
