What I've been up to...

Hopefully you can see what these are with the captions. Some are from sites I'm actively working, others are from items in the lab that I'm cataloging and processing. I am having a whole lot of fun, and am exhausted from working out in the sun all day. Hopefully I'll update with words sometime soon.

Love you guys!

summer

Well, its been good reading what you all have been up to. I just got back from a week in TExas of all places, but that is where my bestest friend ever lives, so thats where I have to go. It had been way too long since we had seen each other and it was wonderful. We read....I read 3 books....watched moves and 1 bad out of 4 is not a bad record for us.....ate (she did all the cookin' and is a great cook...I helped just a little!), drank....wonderful peachtea with peach snappes and other delites one of which had lemon, mint and cucumbers in it and was awesome! better than a sonic limeaide!!! went to a play, walked and just enjoyed being with each other. We have known each other for 35 years!!! Pretty incredible. We have gone through alot together and been with each other always no matter how far away.

That was my second trip this summer. Went home for a few days the first part of June. Good to see mom/grandma and everyone else. All seem to be doing well and continuing on with the important and not so important business of life. Now that I am home, I have to hit the studio running. I have an incredible fan in there this year so if I don't blow away, it should cool it nicely. Any orders anyone????? I want to try and make a trip back to ks. in August before school starts. I am teaching my art camp the last week in July, but want to try and get home for at least a day whhile Kathy is there. We will see. Well, I guess I had best get something done today. First day back home and all I have done is piddle around and get one load of laundry done. Jessie has gone up north to see her dad in Taos. Should at least be cooler there.

WEll, Aimee....I am so proud of you and your find. Keep that rock sucking thing going......its genetic you know. Your gramma is well known for walking along, picking up rock or shell and poppin' it into her mouth to see what it "really" looks like!

Nicole.....congradulations....i will start working on your grad present this week. Expect it hopefully before fall. We will see.

Kathy.....keep me posted as to the dates you will definitely be in DC. I will give it a shot.

Pam...talk to you later RAchel.....keep up the good work. HE/SHE is lookin' good!! Can't wait to hold them. Christmas???

The rest of you....til later....love you lall....CIndy

Picture of our sweet baby

Hope that you all can use your imaginations just a little and see that cute little baby face all snuggled up in Rachels tummy. This was taken when the baby was 26 weeks old and only about 2 pounds. Rachel is 30 weeks along now and doing well.

We had a wonderful time in Virginia for Aimees graduation. That is a picture of us on our trip to Baltimore to the National Aquarium and the surrounding sights. Aimee is working as a real live archeologist and has made some awesome finds lately! Will try to get on and post pictures and stories later or maybe Aimee will.
I need to go for now so check back later in the week for more.

Love you all very much. pb

Hello out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it has been forever that ANYONE ELSE has posted and I know for a fact there has been LOTS of happenings!!! For what it is worth, here's my two cents worth...
I am the proud mom of a Berkeley graduate and am enjoying having her home for awhile. Her dad of course asks her daily, "Have you found a job yet"? She'll go back to Berkeley and take the LSATS class the end of July thru Sept and the LSATS are the very end of Sept. When she goes back up she'll need to find both a job and a place to live.
Ty is working for a professional photographer and is learning a lot. He hopes to help shoot a wedding in July but for now has been doing LOTS of editing using photoshop and taking senior pictures and mostly group camp pictures. Great learning experience! He has a girl friend but she'll be moving the end of the month so hopefully he won't try to go see her alot, (too far away).
I am trying to adjust to a new work schedule...yuck...working 5 days a week every other week and 4 days the other week. If the commute wasn't awful I wouldn't complain so much but traffic really sucks out here!! They won't let us do 10 hour days any more sooooooooo. I am also taking on a senior position (not crazy about that either)but such is life.
Doug has gotten the hot tub set and plumbed but we are waiting for the electrican to come and wire the 220. That may take a couple weeks as we will be out of town the next 2 weekends. Suz... are you going to the river with us in June or July???? Lots of fun!!!!!!
We are planning a quick trip to Dodge for my 30th reunion (ahhhhhh that sound so old). That is the end of July so yippie, we can be there for Dodge City Days too. We will try to go back through Colorado and see my friend Cindy Nett and Darrell too. Only taking a week so it will be a lot of go, go, go.
I will try to have Ty post some more of his awsome photos one of these days. Enjoying everyones blog WHEN THEY WRITE !
Love to all .

Hello my lovely family! How is everyone and what is everyone up to?! I know that lots of things have been happening in this family like the end of the school year, the end of school for always or at least until grad school (So much more fun! I promise!), moves, and... I dont know but surely people have taken vacations or had a lovely weekend or bought something awesome. I am sure that we would all LOVE to hear about the happenings of our supper wonderful, intelligent, beautiful, and truly amazing relatives. I will ask some questions to get people moving:
1. John-your paintings have been awesome. Have you done any more lately? When is graduation and what is your major?
2. Nicole-Hi Lady! Hooray, Graduation! So what is the latest plan? You will be home for the summer. You should come by!
3. Aimee-Congratulations!!! Doesn't it feel wonderful to be done with school? You did it! Now what are the plans? Heard you may be in Chaco Canyon this summer (For those that dont know Chaco is in northwestern NM), true? When and how long?
4. Mom- How do you feel about summer? What are your plans? Going to Dodge? Working camp? Coming to see your daughter and sister in California? We could go try on wedding dresses? :)
5. Kath-How does it feel to have your daughter back home? Any fun art projects for the summer? Throw a party and I will have a few strong men come and move the hot tub. :) We have to convince mom to take some time to come out!
6. Aunt Pam- What is up? We have not heard from you in a very long time. Are you so very excited about being a grandma?! What do you want the baby to call you? Nana, Nani, Grannie, Grans, Grandma...
7. Monica-Thanks again for being my photographer advice giver! The new site looks awesome-People check it out! She has some awesome pics! What is new with you? Have you shot any weddings yet?
8. Jeremy- What is up!? We have not heard from you in forever!! I have no idea what is going on in your life and I am sure that I am not the only one! What is new? How are the kids? My goodness they must be big! all grown up!
9. Linz- How is Manhattan treating you? How much longer until you graduate? In what? Do you stay in town during the summer or do you go home? How is the art? Doing this for fun as well as for school? We would love to see more of it.
10. Rach- You rarely check this thing but I will ask questions and hope that you reply as I am sure that people would love to hear how you are and what plans you may be making for your new arrival. How beautiful are today? radiant, gorgeous, or goddess like? How do you feel? Are you planning to have specific colors in the baby's room or a specific theme? What do you want his/her cousins, aunts, uncles, etc to purchase for her/his very first birthday?

Well, everyone I hope that gives people something to blog about! I know that I am anxiously awaiting responses. Now I must go eat breakfast! I love you all and hope that you all are wonderful and about to embark on a deliciously lovely weekend!
