Anxiously Waiting

I have been checking and rechecking this blog everyday for the last 5 days or so in hopes of seeing a sweeeeeeeeeet baby picture. But alas there has not been one. I keep seeing mom's post and I am tired of seeing it. So I thought I would write one for something new to look at in hopes that you all who are also checking in for baby pictures will leave a comment or two. :)

Things here are gearing up for the start of school which in my business means days loaded with children and minimal time for paper work. I like it in the summer when there is plenty of time for paper work. The hospital hates it but we therapists LOVE it! It is currently 100 degrees in my unairconditioned house! The heat the last few days has been horrible! We are trying to stay cool!

Mike and I went berry picking (raspberries and blackberries) last weekend and ended up about 5 minutes away from Kathy and Doug. We descended upon them last minuted and they were kind enough to get us an invitation to their friends party up the hill. We had a great time! We really should do it more often and if traffic cooperated and it was always 50ish minutes instead of 2 hours we would. Such is Southern California life. Augh! We came home and Mike made scones, sauce for ice cream, and cobbler (peaches added too) with the scrumptious berries!

This weekend Mike is taking me up to the Central Coast. We are going to be staying in Morro Bay just blocks from the water. We are going to tour Hearst Castle and the surrounding wineries. We really dont have set plans so who knows the awesome adventures that await us!?

We still do not have a date for our wedding. We are talking about a planned elopement but we are not completely sure about that. Things have just been stressful and complicated. Oh well we will figure something out I am sure.

Well, a friend has arrived so I must go. We are cooking bratwursts with sour kruat and corn on the cob. Yumyum!

I love you all. I shall continue to anxiously await baby pictures!

school again

Well, it has been a good start to the school year although I had to talk to the principal today because I might of said somehting I shouldn't have to a student. He was putting his finger in my face way too close for comfort and shaking it and I just glared at him and growled....I WILL break that off! I then calmed down and told him that it was rude etc. But I thought I should warn the principal incase of partent phone calls. I am now home watchin' my kiln as it fires. Keeping an eye on the temp. I should beable to open in tomorrow after school. I am excited. I have aobut 3 more kiln loads to fire. I will keep glazing this week and fire again over the long weekend coming up. The big HIgh road to Taos show is the last 2 weekends in Sept...so coming up really fast. I will try and get Paul to take some digitals and maybe post them? We will see. Well, I need to go check the kiln again. Hope all is well with every one. Looking forward to Rachel and the baby's shower in Oct. and the trip home with Zan. So, will be seeing some of you soon. Take care all and know that I love you all and think of you often.....Cindy/Aunt Cindy/MOM

Just a note about me...

WOW have I been busy! This summer has flown by its kind of crazy. I got a job as a paraprofessional/paraeducator (depending on where you work, para for those in the know) at Auburn Washburn school district. I have already had a few meetings and will have more Monday and Tuesday then Wednesday is the big day when the kids come back and I get to see what I am made of. The good news is I think I am really going to like the place and the people I am working with. My boss Mr. Austin is ex-military so he runs a tight ship but would rather learn and have fun with the kids than have to rule with an iron fist so I think it will be a good pace. My room is the resource room for kids with BD and LD so it will be a challenge. I am not positive what I will ACTUALLY be doing thus far because that will depend a little on one of the students who is Autistic and as I am told will pretty much pick his para and whomever clicks with him and vice versa will work with him, otherwise I will be there for general help with the other students in the room. I really was a little worried at first when I got the job not knowing how that age group would be, but I think it will be a good fit and a nice change.

Funnily after not really working all summer my photo business seems to be picking up just as I have a new job, I have four shoots on the books! The good news is one of the perks of working at a school is being done by 3:30 and no weekends so I can still do both with the added bonus as the photography still being a "hobby" and not a main source of income so it can still be fun without the pressure of having to make enough to survive. I am sure that sounds kind of odd, most people would kill to do what they love and get paid but because I love it so much it kind of takes the fun out of it for it to be my "job"...that still sounds strange but perhaps you know what I mean.

Other than that I am doing good, I've been well and enjoyed some regrouping time this summer. I am staying in my current apartment with my current roommate for another year, so that is nice I hate moving. I've been enjoying my summer, spending time with my friends, playing with their kids and taking time to not just get a job, but also something that I think I will really love as well as the added bonus of insurance and such.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my nephew (any day now) and yes I said nephew, no I don't really know but that is my guess and I am sticking to it! I can't stop buying baby things they are just so cute and I couldn't be more excited!! I've been spending time hanging out with Rachel getting things ready and going to baby stores, its been a lot of fun!

So thats it for me, where are the rest of you, how about a start of the school year update??

Love you all!
