High Road

Nope not the moral high road that those guys in the White house seem to have wandered away from, but the studio tours......It was great! Took 9 very full boxes of pots and came back with barely 4 full ones. The garlic keepers all sold, all but one of the garlic roasters....and of course lots of other stuff....think all but one of the oil dispensers....anyway...it was fun. There were a few that had bought in past years and were return customers...that was fun! and it is always nice to hear people tell you how nice your work is. I took several orders this time too. Need to get busy on those right away.

And the weather was beautiful. For those of you that have been to Trucas, the mts were glorious...the aspen had started to turn, and they were snow capped!! That NM blue blue sky and then snow...the yellow aspen....wow!!! Weather was a little "crisp", but nice sweater weather. Valerie came up on Sat. Paul brought her after the soccer game...and she stayed with me. She had a blast....she feed the animals with her Gr. Grampa...she went to market with him and sold 5 lambs...she road bikes as fast as she could from Gramita's to the arroyo....she was a little afraid of the rooster howerver. And when we left on Sunday night...the mts to the south...Los Alamos way....were all in sillouette with a beautiful sunset reflected in the sky behind them and just the biggest sliver of a moon you have ever seen.....AWESome....Tremendous....incredible etc....Wow!!!

Alan's folks looked great and we really had a good time together. I don't get up there as much as I should. It was very nice to spend the time with them.

Valerie will be in California on Wed. for a very long weekend. She and Suzanne are going to Disneyland and the beach. She is very excited!! We are alittle nervous...but she will be fine. A friend of Jessie's is a SW airline hostess/stewardess/ whatever....and she might (we hope) be riding with her. We will see. I know they both will have a good time. Can't believe she is 8 already...where has the time gone??? and I have quite keeping track of how old the other one is!!

weekend in LA

Hi to all, havent seen much of anyone on here, but i'll post anyway. I spent a great weekend in LA with Sarkis and his family. we went and saw Charles Aznavour (hes like frank sinatra in france) on his last tour before retirement, the mans 80 and still puts on a show! it was nice getting outta town for a few days especially before midterms hit and things really get busy. I also got to see some of Sarkis's fathers work, he's a pretty famous painter and artist, its amazing!! he was finishing up a wall of ceramic tiles that school kids made of faces, and then he assmebles them and creates an amazing mural from them. http://valleynews.com/CanogaPark/Stories/Entertainment/Art/Story~128597.aspx thats a link to an article on it. pretty awesome. anyways, spent the weekend in LA, didnt have time to see my parents though, SORRY MOM! but will spend a weekend in vegas with them october 20th- 22nd, for my 21st birthday. should be fun!!! not that much new here otherwise, guess i should get back to working on my thesis. much love to all!

So this is the 100th post and I am not sure that anyone really cares what i am going in my photography, and if I need to stop posting it just tell me, but this is my buddy Eddie and we did these tonight cause I was bored and realized that I needed some guys for my galleries.

I got paid...TWICE

Well I am considering my new business venture a sucess I have now been paid twice for my work, we aren't talking about hundereds of dollars yet, but money is money and this is great for me! I am so excited I can't wait to see you all and take your pictures so you want to pay me...oh wait...no I don't think I would charge my family. Anyway here are a couple from a shoot the other day.

NO time for the wicked

No time to respond to everyone's postings, so.....Ty, the pictures are awesome!! Keep it up. Hope school is going ok and that you find your niche....believe me, it has taken some of your cousins awhile to do that....and all those classes seem to be a necessary evil...at least in Jessie's case they are linked to her interest....ie. history, art history....english...how to write for a client, present to clients etc....and so on....good luck.....John, so nice to see and "hear" you on the blog!! Thanks. Still love the last painting best but it needs to rotate on its side.....Monica...great pictures!! Lvoe the hair!!! Good luck with the business.....and no, I can believe you feel the same way about the camera....afterall, if I had a choice between the kids and my kiln or wheel....well, hmmmm, give me a min. Lets see....oh, choices, choices!! Nicole....great job at school. Hope you can make England happen. How are loans and grants for that sort of thing???? Don't know how it works. Good luck. Labor Day at Mom's House

Here's a picture of us in the kitchen at Mom's house. A place that we all love when we are there and miss when we are not. The 3 suspects in this picture are busy making homemade clam chowder. Well, at least Teresa and Mom were, I was lending support by tasting it for anything that it might have been missing.

The weekend included a Friday night supper at Mom's favorite hangout - Hamms; a Saturday morning shopping trip to our favoriteeeee store - The Hobby Lobby; a fact finding visit to Walgreens where we discovered they can take those tiny 8mm VCR tapes and put them on a photo CD; and a grocerty shopping extravaganza at WalMart. We also toured Teresa's front yard landscaping project which is looking good and her new front porch furniture is so-oooo her. She is looking forward to going to Denver in a few weeks to see the Dahli Llama himself. Sunday we did a backyard tour at Mom's where things are looking good as usual.

Guess that about covers it. Have really enjoyed all the recent postings. I printed off all of the August postings for Mom to read in her spare time. You all take care. My love to all.

My Photo Shoot and Chandler

So, I decided that for advertising reasons I needed some pictures of myself, I may be wrong and not use any of these for anything, and in fact these are the ones that were more for fun than anything. My roomie Shayln took them, she hopefully will be brushing up enough on her photography enough to help me out from time to time if I should need another eye for a wedding or something. I don't know if I have mentioned that I have my new camera now and I love it like a child(I am guessing that those of you who actually have kids will probably contest that but that is how I feel now). Anyway so things are looking up. The last picture of course is not me, it is Chandler my best friends dog who happens to be the cutest dog ever, and i know my mom loves him so there you all are. Hope everyone is well.

OOps Posted twice

SOOOOOO sorry, I posted the first of Ty's pix and then the following day they still were not up sooooooo I posted them agian. OOOPs. Oh well guess I needed the practice. Been having local moutain thunder storms and unfortunately lightning too there's been 6 or so strikes and fires just today but they have been on them right away so only involving single trees in most. Saw 3 helicopers with the hoses flying thought so that always makes one nervous. Last week there was a 2000 acres fire just across the wash from the ranger station for those who don't know it's only a mile from us. Anyway it burn up the mountain and close hwy 38 for 2 days, had friend staying with us till it opened. Well hopefully it will stay calm while I'm gone.

hello

hello to all, havent writen in a while. I finished my summer school classes early aug. and spent the rest of the month at home (or at least in So Cal I should say) it was nice and much needed. I started school last week, so things are starting to pick up. Im starting work on my senior thesis, which shouldnt be that bad, and am considering making it my honors thesis and working on it till may next year. lets see...my classes are good, none to hard yet, CAL got taken to Tennessee on saturday, but all in all were rated 9th for college football and have a chance at beating USC. ummm theres gonna be an amazing talk on the new middle east tomorrow night and judith butler is speaking, but I have to miss it to pick up my momma at the airport (soo sad, but i do love her, my mom that is) but dont be too sad my friend sarkis is gonna tape it for me and were prolly gonna take one of her seminars in the spring. Im still looking at doing the masters program at Oxford next year, although my mother is still in denial about it and just wants me to internship, sooo we'll see. As she mentioned shes coming up for the weekend and Ty will hopefully be able to come up for a visit soon too. I need to call larry and have him cut my hair for me, had a nice visit with him last month, we really need to hang out more, but he wont call me cause i dont have a local number. hopefully I'll get a chance to see some/most/all of you during the holidays, and if not then I would love to have people come visit me for at least one of my graduation ceremonies in may, or before i move to england next september (all going to plan that is). ok ive rambled. love to all!!!

Aberration

These my fair family are a few of the pictures I took for my first PAYING thats right PAYING clients to Blue Room Photography...they are a local Punk/Pop band called Aberration, they are all 16 and were quite funny to shoot but hey we all have to start somewhere.
